According to ARBA (American Rabbit Breeders Association) there are four breeds of Angora Rabbits.  There ARE four breeds of angoras that are recognized by ARBA, which means that these four breeds are showable at ARBA sanctioned shows.  But, there is also another, fifth, breed of Angora Rabbit that is bred in this country.   I am going to include the German Angora here, as I feel that they certainly deserve equal mention.
The Five Breeds of Angora Rabbits
French Angora:  The French Angora is a medium sized, medium boned rabbit, easily identifiable compared to other Angora breeds, by it's clean head and feet, it's wool/fiber type and it's size.  "Clean" head and feet" means that the fur on the head and feet is similar to that of a "normal" furred breed....not wooly.  The senior French Angora should weigh between 7.5 and 10.5 pounds, should have an oval body type and have excellent meat condition.  The wool should exhibit an abundance of guard hair, and the underwool is to be heavily crimped.
English Angora:
Satin Angora:
Giant Angora:
German Angora:
